Story Book Forest!

Arcadia Lake hosts Story Book Forest every year for Halloween! They have the kids walk through a mapped out Forest and along the trail you stop at little stations that have a story book theme. At the little stations you read the story or someone reads it to you and then you get to pick out some candy! At the end of the Forest you get to take a fun Hay Ride that takes you along the Lake, then you get to go and play some fun games! This year Jantzen was able to do all the games by himself! At the fishing game he was a little eager and casted out the rod like he was fishing with his Pal in Montana. All of that to say everyone around us was ducking to get out of harms way. Jantzen ended up having two victims! The girl who handed him the rod and the one behind the wall! Next time I will put the camera down and help my son with the rod, instead of letting him attack everyone with it!! The next game we did was tossing the bean bag through the holes in the wall. Jantzen's first try he went right up to the hole and put the bag right through! Smart kid! Then we told him to stand behind the line and toss it, and he actually made it through! It was very impressive! He had to call his grandparents to let them know that he made it, but Jaxson missed! He was very proud of himself!
After the games we sat down by the fire listened to some Halloween stories and made some yummy smores! There is nothing I would rather do then to spend time with my sweet family! It was a wonderful night!!! Thank you Father for my precious family!!!
Getting ready to leave for the Forest! Jantzen is Lightening McQueen Pit Crew guy and Jaxson is a cowboy on a horse!
Enjoying the fire before we head into the Forest!
Waiting in line!!And there off...............First stop! There was an old woman who lived in a shoe.... I think Jax said, "Wow, that is a big shoe!" Jantzen said, "Blue's my favorite color!"I tried to get the boys to put their hands out like they were catching Humpty Dumpty, but they didn't like the idea!!
At first glance they thought the spider was real!
Here is our crazy moment of the evening! They were real huge fishing poles!!!Jantzen throwing it right into the hole! On the freezing cold hay ride!

All of us on the Hay Ride! We took this pic ourselves! Pretty impressive!

The boys sitting and lisenting to stories! Jantzen kept trying to put his head on Jaxson shoulder! It was so cute!

Enjoying our smores!! What a wonderful evening!
