Ethiopia

So this is sweet Mayrn. She is one of the reasons why I get to go to Ethiopia in September. She was adopted by my sweet friend Carrie from Ethiopia. My friend and her husband Ben have always had a heart for Ethiopia and years ago started a ministry called The James Initiative. Carrie and Ben now have two beautiful kiddos from Ethiopia. This was my first time to meet sweet Maryn. I fell in love with her instantly!!! And I have to say she fell in love with me too!!!
So we went to Arkansas and met up with my friend because we had the first meeting for the mission trip. To say I'm excited is an understatement. I've wanted to go ever since she started the ministry. It will be a small group of girls but that how she likes it. They feel like a smaller team makes for better team work and organization and intimacy! We will be having two clinics. A dentistry clinic and a medical clinic. We will mainly be seeing children in the orphanage. About 200 children. Then we will head to the streets and gather up the street children who live on their own. They might be dumped and abandoned by parents or their parents might have died. Carrie told me that we will probably find another 300
Street kids near by. We will love on them, check them at the clinics, pray over them and then we will play and have fun!
We also get to go shopping at the market for the James initiative Benefit in the fall. We will get to go to an Ethiopian church. We will go tour the orphanages. We will get to go to the highest peak on Ethiopia. I'm just beyond excited. I'm excited to see God work. I'm excited to be His hands and Feet and I know that they will end up blessing me way more than I bless them.
So I ask for prayers. Prayer for the people we will come
In contact with. Pray that God will provide all the supplies we need. Prayer for changes lives and to just see God move in mighty ways!!

Sweet Maryn.
