A Week In Review....

So this week was pretty crazy, Jaafar was out of town, so it didn't leave as much time to blog! The week started off with my precious oldest son screaming from his bed, "I'm awake everybody...I'm awake everybody!! It is sunny outside!!" He cracks me up! I couldn't help but laugh. I always tell everyone that my two little boys are the joy and laughter of our household! On Tuesday night, I went to go put my Jantzy to bed and told Jaxson that after I put Jantz to bed that we would go sit outside and look for the stars. As I was rocking Jantz to sleep, Jaxson ran into the room and said, "Mom, I looked out the back window and saw TWO STARS, how excited AM I!!!" His grammar is so precious, I laugh, because it is better than mine! As we were looking at the stars, he said, "Mommy, maybe daddy will drive home in the dark and look at the stars with us!" Oh, how Jaxson misses his daddy when he is gone for work! He prays for him every night to come home. He loves his daddy so much! Jaafar is such an amazing dad, I couldn't do it with out him!

This week, I had a very precious moment with my boys! I am so blessed that God gave these two little boys to Jaafar and I! I could not of hand picked two more precious little boys! Jaxson has always amazed me with his memory! He can remember every little detail of every little story. He know at least 150 names of the "Thomas the Train" series. He can remember things that happened over a year ago, and I mean DETAIL, like what shirt he was wearing and so on! So I thought lets use this amazing memory for the Glory of God! Lets teach this precious boy as much scripture as he can take in! I know he might not be able to fully comprehend what he is learning, but I know that he is hiding God's word in his heart, and there is nothing on this earth that makes my heart more glad than knowing my son is carving scripture into his heart! So Jaxson has been learning many different Bible verses for a while now, and knows them very well. Now to get to my precious moment... we were driving in the car and I heard my sweet Jaxson trying to teach Jantzen a bible verse. He would have Jantzen repeat every word of the bible verse that he was saying. I couldn't help but think how happy it makes God when He hears His child teaching another child His word! I pray everyday that God would continue to grow Jaxson and Jantzen in His word, that He would give them the wisdom and knowledge that only comes from Him! My sweet little Jantzy has started this new thing where he will come up to me, give me the biggest hug ever, then say so softly, "Mommy!!" It warms my heart every time!

This week I was putting Jaxson to bed and we did our same little routine, because if you know Jaxson, you know we HAVE to stick to the routine! So we read our 3 books, said our prayers, and then did our special covers, I gave him a big kiss on the forehead and said, "I love you buddy!" He said, "I love you with all my heart!" It brought tears to my eyes! I said, "I love you with all of my heart too buddy!!" How great it is to be loved by your son! It gives us a little glimpse of what our Heavenly Father feels when we tell Him we love Him!
