Terrific Kid!

Every week at Jaxson's school they focus on a "character word" then the school gives out a Terrific Kid award during the weekly assembly and whatever word they are on is what the award is for. This week Jaxson got the Terrific Kid Award! It is an award of great honor and it is given to a student by his teacher. Jaxson's Terrific Kid Award was for Service! Jaxson really wanted to win the award for integrity but I told him that Service was one of the best awards he could possibly win! I told him that Jesus came to serve not to be served! I told him that over and over in the Bible God stresses the importance of serving one another in love, and the first shall be last, and to work as though you were serving the Lord, and the list could go on and on. I told him what an honor that you are being such an example of Christ to your peers! I think that sometimes we forget in our, "me society", that our purpose on this earth is to serve one another in His love and to then lead others to know Him.

As I watched my precious 5 year old stand up on stage with the other children from other grades who were receiving this award, I thought about how faithful the Lord is to answer our prayers! I have prayed and prayed over this boy since he was a baby that God would shape and form his character to be that like Christ. It is awesome to see how the Lord is starting to shape each of my boys. It is fun to watch as the spiritual gifts are starting to really show. Thank you Lord for raising our sweet precious boys up in You, Lord! Form them into Your image Lord! May they be boys FULL of character Lord! Equip us to parent them and equip them to be fully devoted follower of You Lord! Use them for Your glory! Thank you Lord for giving us these three precious gifts!!!
