So I have been giddy all last week just thinking about Holy Week! God has just given me such a passion for this and for teaching my kiddos all of the events that took place leading up to His death and resurrection! Today like always we ran around the house shouting HOSANNA!!! HOSANNA!!!!! It was fun because this was Jett's first year to participate! He thought it was awesome!!! We then went to Church to praise our King! Later that day the boys and I made some passover bread to use later in the week and then we made a little cross craft! I was talking to the boys about how amazing it was that all of the people were praising Jesus! They were laying their cloaks down for him, yet in just 5 short days, those same people will be yelling, "Crucify Him!" How fast their hearts changed! It is such a good reminder that our hearts should be fixed on Him, that we should be grounded in our faith, and that we LOVE Him even when things aren't turning out the way we think they should! See they thought Jesus should be this radiant, mighty, showy King, yet He was humble, peaceful, He was a servant. I pray this week you spend time reflecting on what He sacrificed for you! May this week be full of our thankfulness for our Savior!
