On Monday we celebrated the day that Jesus walked into His Father's house and saw the mess people have made of it! I guess in all these years of teaching the boys I didn't realize that what people were selling in the Temple were animals to be sacrificed! I mean seriously can you imagine that! People were making money off of other peoples sacrifices. And is it really a sacrifice when all you have to do is go buy an animal!! What is the pain in that? How is that humbling?
The boys woke up today to our house being all out of order! I put their comfy chairs by the dinning table and the dining chairs in the living room! I also put a few other things out of place to get their attention! I think Jett thought it was hilarious that his Lightening McQueen car was on top of the book shelf!
I told the boys can you imagine how frustrating it would of been to walk into your Father's house and people were doing such evil things. Seriously imagine it! What if you came home and there were people in your home selling your most prize possessions and they were getting a profit off of it! Kinda changes things! Of course Jesus was mad, He had every right to be! People were selling sacrifices, the most precious act a person could of done back then to become clean, and they were destroying and tainting the whole act of sacrifice!
When the boys got home from school we painted some eggs and got a little bit dirty! Again it was a great time for me to talk about how sin makes us dirty! The first egg we dyed left just a little bit of color on us, then the next added to that, by the end of the 12 eggs the boys hands were a nice shade of dark purple! It is exactly how sin can slowly creep into our lives and before we know it we are a mess. Praise the Lord that He cleans us and makes us as white as snow! So they washed their hands and saw the paint come right off after a few good scrubbings!
Dining Chairs in the living room and light sabers in the wrong place!!

Sitting at the dining table with the wrong chairs!

Jantzen was proud of his egg that he made a cross on it!
Ready to color some eggs!

Our special cross creation we made!
My three precious boys!
