Thanksgiving

We had a full Thanksgiving. It started off by going to Jaaf’s dad and Loretta’s house. The boys had a great time seeing their dogs and little kitty cat. The boys absolutely loved their new cat. They were playing with her and laughing so hard they were snorting! We always have a great time going over to their house and just talking.

On thanksgiving we had huge thanksgiving lunch at Jaaf’s mom and Bob's house. The whole family came over. The boys thought it was great. They soaked up all the attention. The meal was absolutely wonderful! The boys actually sat down for the whole lunch, so Jaaf and I actually got to eat and enjoy the conversation.

After lunch we packed up the car and headed off towards Holly Lake. Jaxson was so excited to see Corbin. He kept saying, I can’t wait to see Corbin, are we there yet??? We got there on Thursday night and enjoyed seeing the family. The next day we celebrated Chloe and Blake’s birthday, then that afternoon we celebrated Gramp’s 80th birthday! We were able to take the boy's out to my Uncle Don’s ranch. They had a great time riding on the tractors and picking up dirt and dumping it. Then we tried to fish! That was a fun experience! It was pretty tricky trying to teach a 2 year old how to fish and not get the hook caught on him! Jantzen thought it was pretty funny when we released the fishing line into the water. We would count to 3 then release it. He would laugh every time! Then we got the hook caught in the seaweed! I bent down to try and tug on it to get it out; my precious little son was trying to be a big helper and also bent down to help! His little foot slipped out from under him and he did a face plant right into the pond! It was the shallow part of the pond which had mud. I grabbed him and he had a layer of mud ALL over his face and neck! It was also freezing cold weather. As a mom my first instinct is to clean him and get him as warm as possible so that he won’t get sick! We tried our best to do that and hopefully my sweet little Jantzy won’t come down with something! Other than the fall, the boys had a great time on Poppy’s ranch! It was fun watching all of the little ones play together. On Friday night, all of the little cousins got together and had a dance party. They danced, wrestled and just had a great time! It was a crazy Thanksgiving! We are so thankful for our precious little boys and so very thankful for all of our family! But above all that we are so incredibly thankful for our Heavenly Father!

“Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever!”
