Majesty!

"Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all."
1 Chronicles 29:11
So today was the most incredible day! We woke up and did a little shopping in Denver, then headed off to VAIL!!! The drive to Vail was just breathtaking! I had forgotten how absolutely beautiful the mountains were! The closer we got to Vail the more beautiful the view was. At one point we went under a tunnel and on the other side were Mountains covered with snow! I was not expecting to see snow, but it was beautiful!! We were surrounded by these huge majestic mountains for the majority of the drive. All I could think about was our Heavenly Father’s Majesty! I couldn’t help but think of all the references to Mountains in the Bible. How awesome that our God is so powerful that He can make the mountains quake in His presence! The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground." Ez. 38:20 There were beautiful rivers and streams that followed the highway. On the side of the mountain there was water coming out of the rocky mountain and flowing into the stream. It was God’s beauty! It reminded me of how God made water come out of the rocks or the Israelites on their journey to the promise land, and how we can be like a tree planted firmly in the ground by streams of water! I just marveled in His beauty! "The Lord said to Moses, “Walk out in front of the people. Take your staff, the one you used when you struck the water of the Nile, and call some of the elders of Israel to join you. I will stand before you on the rock at Mount Sinai. Strike the rock, and water will come gushing out. Then the people will be able to drink.” So Moses struck the rock as he was told, and water gushed out as the elders looked on." Ex. 17:5&6 "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." Psalm 1:3 Half way to Vail we stopped in Silverthorn where they had an amazing outdoor shopping outlet! There is nothing like shopping with the beautiful Rocky Mountains in the background and a river running through the shopping center!! We got back on the road and headed toward Vail, the closer we got the more beautiful and majestic the mountains got! I just kept thinking over and over in my head, “Majesty, worship His Majesty!” And how even the mountains will bow down and rejoice in the Lord!!! Once we got to Vail, it was everything we imagined and better! The shopping, the village, the people, it was all wonderful! We shopped a bit and then we took a gondola ride up the Vail mountain and ate a wonderful dinner! There is nothing like having a great dinner with the views of the mountains and sharing it with the love of my life! We walked around a bit and looked at the mountain called Holy Cross! It was all just breathtaking! It is a mountain that forms a cross from the very top to the bottom, it is a naturally formed valley that happens to be in the shape of a cross! Pretty awesome!
At the top of the mountain! Behind us is the Mount Holy Cross!!
