Jaaf and I have been blessed with many amazing friends who love the Lord and encourage us in our walk with the Lord. We have very dear friends that live close by and we have very dear friends that live in other states, (our prayer is that we will be neighbors one day =)!) God placed some friends on our hearts a while back with a vision of families who love the Lord and who could serve Him together. We came up with the idea of having a family Christmas party each year. At that party the kids can play, adults have fun, and together we would bless someone. This year we decided to help a family in need.
I will have to say that I did a terrible job of planning this whole thing out, and promise to do better next year. But my vision is to be able to focus on serving Christ during the Christmas season, and getting our children involved with serving Him, instead of expecting to be served with gift after gift. I want my children to know that we are here to serve and not to be served. That Christ came to serve us and we are to follow His example! Here are some pics from the party.
