Thankful month!

"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His Love endures forever!"

I Chronicles 16:34

For the month of November I try to do things with the boys to give them constant reminders to be thankful! We have a very special, "Thankful Tree" that we put in our hallway and every night at dinner we write down one thing we are thankful for. We go over our verses that tell us to be thankful and then we pray and thank God for the many things He has given us!

This year I had the boys make place mats for themselves, and then for every family member. On Their place mats I had them decorate them and write down all the things they were thankful for. While we ate, we could go over all the things they wrote down. The place mats they made for their family had all the things they were thankful for that family member. Then the family member was to use that place mat for our Thanksgiving dinner! I even had the boys make them for their teachers!! It was fun and I love to give the boys constant reminders of all the blessings the Lord has given us!

Jantzen- Green Blanket, and he wrote down that he was NOT thankful for Satan! But he was thankful for Jesus!

Jaxson- For God and Jesus! And for his thankful place mat!!

Making Turkey cupcakes! We made a HUGE turkey cake!! Jantzen started to decorate all the turkey's to look like the members in his family!! I am the one in the very back with all the candy corn for the crazy hair!!
