So our very first day in Chattanooga we have a lot planned. Our first stop is Ruby Falls. I am so so excited for this one! I did my research and this site is one of the top places to visit when in Chattanooga! So the Story is back in the 1920's a man went exploring and he found a cave in the side of Look Out Mountain. he managed to find a crawl space and he began to dig till it led to the great Ruby Falls Waterfall which is 145 feet tall in the middle of the cave. He chipped away for days until he found the open room. He has a 2ft by 4ft crawl space the whole way. We got to walk the whole way which was about a mile into the mountain. There were a few places that were snug, but not too bad. We got to see so many awesome cave formations. Awesome crystals and rocks, and chandelier hanging things. It was awesome!! The water fall at the very end was also amazing. At that point in the tour we were about 1200 ft below the surface. They said that the top of the waterfall to where our feet were, is the height of the Empire State Building in New York. The water fall is always flowing even in drought. During drought it is a small stream and during high rain fall it is so big it sound like a freight train in the cave. The boys absolutely LOVED this adventure. They were in awe at all times!!!
Outside Ruby Falls. The castle was made from all the limestone that Leo Lambert chipped away while he was in search of the water fall.
On our way.

There was a stream of water that ran through out the whole cave.
