Resurrection Rolls

So on Saturday, we made these things called Resurrection Rolls! You get biscuits, marshmallows, melted butter, and cinnamon. You explain to the kiddos that the marshmallow is Jesus, since it is as white as snow! You put the marshmallow in the middle of a biscuit cut in half, and wrap the top of of the biscuit around the marshmallow, this is to resemble the linen they wrapped Jesus in. Then you dip it in butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon. This is suppose to resemble how they anointed the body with oil and spices. Then you put it in the oven, and tell the kids that the oven is the tomb! Then you tell them that we can't eat them tonight, we have to wait till Easter morning. When you cook the biscuits, it melts the marshmallow and leaves it hallow! On Easter morning, you cut the biscuit down the middle and tell them that Jesus is Risen! He is alive!
This is the boys looking at the biscuits, wanting to eat them so badly!!!! Pretty cute!!
