This is another one of my favs!! On this day we celebrate Spy Wednesday! This day Judas betrayed Jesus and became a spy for the bad guys!! He decided that 30 pieces of silver was more important than Jesus!! On this day we decide to become spies for Jesus and take back those 30 silver coins and return them to Jesus!! I set up a special egg hunt that the eggs are full of coins! The kids are given clues to find the eggs and then once all eggs are found we count them and then return them back to Jesus at the church!! This year was so special because our friends from out of town were here to celebrate!! When their little girl Livi found out that they were coming to Oklahoma, she asked her mom if we were going to do the special egg hunt for Jesus!!! So precious!!
"Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, went to the leading priests and asked, “How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?” And they gave him thirty pieces of silver. From that time on, Judas began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus." Matthew 26:14-16
Today I put a white flower on the table and told the boys that this represents Jesus and how He was clean and pure without any sin!! He lived on this earth and never sinned! Then we put a couple of red food coloring drops into the water! I told the boys that this represents our sin, that we are sinful by nature and that is why Jesus had to come!!
The flower is suppose to turn red by Friday which will then represent His blood that was shed for us on the cross!!
Everyone was so happy to see the Austins!! As you can see Jaxson ran up to Matt!! I love it!!
