So at the beginning of January I had the opportunity to go to L.A. with one of my dearest friends, Lindsay!! The reason why I was going was because she tried out for, "Wheel of Fortune," and she made it! They called her in December and asked if she would be able to come out to L.A. for the taping of the show in a couple of weeks! Lindsay's husband is in the Air Force and he was doing a 3 month training and was unable to go. She asked a couple of her friends if we could go with her to be in the audience!! When she first asked, I thought, there is no way I can leave my 6 month old who is not sleeping well, or leave my other boys! Jaaf encouraged me and basically said, there is no way you are going to miss this opportunity!! So I started to get soooo excited! I mean what an awesome opportunity, and how much fun!!!! So we got the plane ticket, started planning, and started to get pretty excited! Well about 30 min before we were about to leave and drive to Tulsa for our plane, a horrible storm came through. LONG story short, Jaaf and I didn't feel comfortable with me driving at night with icy road conditions! We tried to get on another flight, but nothing worked!! I was BUMMED! I don't think I've been that upset in a long time! I was so looking forward to this awesome trip! I was looking forward to being with my dear friend who is getting ready to move to Delaware, I was looking forward to being on WHeel of Fortune, (A show I love!), and I was looking forward to a nice relaxing break!
So I was pretty depressed the whole day. I came home and cleaned out my closet! I was that depressed! So then as I am feeding my precious little baby with a terrible migraine, I hear a knock on the door! It was our best friends the Shipley's! Jaaf had planned a whole night to get me out of the dumps! They brought my favorite food! Jaaf got Hawaiian decorations, (b/c the show Lindsay was on was for Hawaii week!) Jaaf even bought a Wheel of Fortune game and a Price is Right game for us to play! It was EXACTLY what I needed to get me out of the dumps! I am so so thankful for my husband who felt so bad that I couldn't go, and so so thankful for friends who had to work all day long, and instead of going home and resting, they came over to cheer me up!! Thank you Lord for my husband and for my sweet friends! I was blessed that night!
So the Lord just kept giving me sweet reminders that His ways are so much greater than my ways. I knew the Lord wanted me at home and not in LA, even though I really wanted to be in LA. The boys were resting on Saturday, and I walked by their room to hear my precious Jaxson reading his Bible to Jantzen. I heard him say, "Jantzen, it says, Moses was a servant of the Lord!" OH, how that blessed my soul! How precious it was to hear my son read God's word to his brother! I thought, there is no trip, no vacation, absolutely nothing could compare to hearing that! Thank you Lord for letting me stay at home so I could hear those precious words!
Jaxson reading his Bible! He is getting really good at his reading! He is now on level 13 at school!!!
Pointing to the verse!
The boys reading together! What a precious picture! I pray that they do this through out their lives!!
At our Wheel of Fortune party! The boys dancing!
Playing some Rock Band!
Playing Wheel of Fortune!

My dear friend Kelly! So thankful God put her in my life!!
