Travel Day or should I say Days!!!

Jaaf and Kyle took the day off to drive Kelly and I to Arkansas to meet the rest of the team to start our long travel to Ethiopia! I will say it was quite hard to say goodbye to my man!! I did not want to leave him and my precious boys, but I knew in reality it was a very short time to be away! God did a lot of awesome things that first day! While we boarded our plane and sat there we decided to keep track of all the God Sightings for the trip so here are a few of the very first ones!!

He allowed all of our luggage to be the right weight. We had to do some adding and taking away from the different suitcases, but God was awesome and many of those suitcases went from over 70lbs to right at 50.0 lbs!! God is good!

He was so so good to give us safe travels the whole way!

All of our luggage made it to Ethiopia Safely.

We all made it through customs!

Our luggage wasn't even checked or looked through in Ethiopia!!

God's hand was already so evident! Once we got to the Ethiopian airport, some of the Onesimus children picked us up and helped us with our luggage! They brought us flowers and gave us big hugs! It was the best way to welcome us to this country! It made me anxious to get started! We went to our hotel got to call our husbands thanks to the amazing Viber app. ANd then all slept ready for our first full day in Ethiopia!

 Sad to leave our husbands!!!!

My sweet husband wrote me this letter and asked me to wait to read it over the atlantic ocean. I wasn't that patient and had to read it a little before!!
 Yummy airplane food!! YUCK!!
Loved getting to watch impractical jokers on the plane ride!! I was laughing so hard I was crying! Only wished my husband could have been there to watch it with me!
I loved watching the map on the plane letting us know where we were!! It was amazing!!

 Ready to get some sleep!!
If only it was that easy!!
The german airplane didn't have as many good movies as the United plane! Boo!!!!
This is Greece!! It was beyond beautiful!!
And I believe this is the Mediterranean Sea  next to Greece!! It was awesome getting to see this!
 German!
It was a little crazy flying over Tel Aviv!!

And now we have the Sudan! The Dessert! It went from beautiful Mountains to nothing but dessert! It seriously gave new meaning to me when I think about the Israelites fleeing Egypt and walking in the dry dessert for 40 years!!

 Landed in the Sudan!

Praise the Lord we landed in Ethiopia!!!!
Us girls with all our luggage!
The children of Onesimus carrying our luggage and helping us to our bus!
They were so precious serving us when it is our job to serve them!

And so our adventure begins!!
