So the first week of lent is coming to an end! We had a very fun first week making some fun crafts! The first craft we made was an ice cream cone bird feeder! The story that went with it was how God forgives us and takes away all of our sin! As we made the bird feeder, we smashed up some white crackers to put into the cone! The white crackers are suppose to symbolize our sin, all the bad things we do. Then we hang our bird feeders on the tree, which symbolizes Jesus on the cross. We watch and see the birds eat and take away all of the crackers, just like Jesus takes away our sin! The other craft we did was to make some yummy rice crispy treats. We died it green and blue and mixed it together to make it look like the earth! The story that went along with this was God created the heavens and the earth! Every day this week we read our devotion and then wrote in our prayer journal. It has been precious to see my boys write to God. One morning Jax woke up and said, "Mom, can I go ahead and write a letter to God this morning?" I told him of course, you can write to God anytime you want!! Jaxson's journal entries have all been pretty much the same! He has written I love you God a few times, Thank you God for giving daddy the deal for work. I love Mommy, God, Daddy, Jantzen, and Jett. It has been so cute and so much fun to just sit around the table have long conversations about our God and what He has done for us. I love to see how God is drawing my boys unto Himself!!

I think Jantzen ate more than the birds!
