Faithfulness

I have been wanting to write a post for a while just to bring all glory and all honor to my God! Jaafar and I have been through many different seasons in our married life! We have been through seasons where we feel as if we are wondering around in the deserts like the Israelites just waiting to see the promise land. We have been through times of great sadness, times of hardships, and so on. The past couple of months we feel as if we are going through a season of great faithfulness. The Lord pressed it upon our hearts a few months ago to start praying for some very specific things. We felt like the Lord told us, “Pray so very specifically that you have NO doubt in your mind that I am the one answering your prayer!” So we began to pray in great detail for many things in our life. I began to pray specifically for Jaafar and his work, and to my amazement the Lord would answer that prayer that day or within the week for the very specific thing I asked for.

We started to pray for a mini van! I know it might sound silly, but we have been doing a series with Dave Ramsey at Church over finances, and it is our desire to honor the Lord in every financial decision we make. (We have made many poor decisions in the past and have learned from them and never want to do it again!) So we prayed for a certain mini van and a certain price! A few weeks later we found a mini van and got an absolutely amazing price that only the Lord could of negotiated for us! It is a used van, but OH we are so thankful for it!

So now that we have our mini van, we need to sell the Rodeo. We prayed that God would send someone and that we would price it just right! Within 24 hours we had it sold and for more than what we thought we could get! God is good!

We also have a whole set of prayers for Jaxson and Kindergarten, but I will explain those in another email. But one of our prayers was for Jantzen to be able to get into Peace Preschool which is where Jax is right now. He was on a waiting list, and we just found out that someone had to move and will not be returning next year, so Jantz is in!!!! That was huge!! We also have been praying for Godly teachers at the public school that Jax will be at, and after reading some of the teachers Bios online, 9 out of the 13 teachers on there mention their love for the Lord and love of working with children at school and at church!! That was another huge praise for me!!!!

I know this is long, but I have to give praise to God for the good things He has done. Most of them seem so silly, but there is NO doubt in my mind that the Lord faithfully answered every single one of my silly detailed prayers.

I know that some of you are going through a time of hardships! I have been there! I in no way want to minimize the pain of what some of you are going through. I told Jaaf that I wanted to write a blog about God’s faithfulness so that when we are in the valley again one day, we can look back on this and give him praise.

God is good, even in those dark hard times! My hardships have always drawn me closer to Him and have reminded me that my life is fully His.

“In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.” Psalm 5:3

Pray in such a way that you are expecting it to happen! Prayer is such a powerful thing! It is a weapon that we can cover our children and marriages in! It is our constant communication with God! For me it is just my time to rest in Him and dwell on His goodness and faithfulness. I am praying for you dear friends, for those who are going through hard times, those getting ready to have babies, and so on! I love you all! Thanks for reading such a long post!!!!!!

Thank you for that reminder this morning, Jennah. I really needed the encouragement today to keep praying about our situation. I KNOW he is Faithful! He will answer in His time.
Love you!

Jennah you could not know how perfect this post was for me this very day. I am sharpened and reminded to pray with great expection of seeing a Great God reveal Himself in a big way in our life. Specifically with the move, adjusting and selling our house. I know I tell you this all the time, but you are so very special. Thank you for your heart for the Lord and your willingness to share. Love you!!
