So our pastors at church at the beginning of the year do the Daniel Fast for 21 days to focus the hearts and minds on what the Lord wants to do at the church. On Sunday our Pastor talked about how so many of us make resolutions, but truly resolutions though good, are about what "WE" can do. I want to loose more weight, I want to run everyday, I want to organize my house, and so on. ALl of these are great, but what if HE was the focus, can you imagine what God could do through you and your resolutions. So he asked us to surrender our self and let Him do something we never thought He could do through us. He also asked what kind of year we had spiritually. He asked if we were Spiritually Apathetic, Spiritually Inconsistent, or Spiritually CONSUMED! I raised my hand on spiritually inconsistent. he said if you want to stay the same, then don't change anything, but if you want something great and relationship with the Lord like you've never had before, then you are going to have to stop what you did the previous year and do something you've never done before! So this year Jaaf and I through prayer have decided to do the Daniel Fast for the 21 days. I am excited and pumped to see what God does, how He speaks to me, and how He changes me and my family. Jaaf and I were praying about it all on Sunday and then that night we went bowling, and my friend looked over at the names of the people playing next to us and the first one was Daniel, the second one was Jesus!! No lie!!! I couldn't believe it, it was truly a sign from Him and it got me so excited to do this! So today we start our fast and I am praying for our pastors and all of the other people who are doing it as well. I am not posting this to cause any kind of attention to be drawn to me or Jaaf, I just want to record His goodness through this process!
"Now all glory to God, who is able through HIs mighty work within us, to accomplish infinitely more then we could ask or even think!!!"
